Why isn’t there more metadata in the ORCID record? Do you support Dublin Core?

ORCID describes connections and provides pointers to source documents. As a community-driven organization, we consulted early on with users of the Registry and APIs, as well as subject-matter experts, to determine what metadata should be stored in the Registry related to publications and other works. Their recommendations were to keep it simple. (Note: Dublin Core and other metadata schema do include fields for storing ORCID identifiers.)
