Your ORCID iD is a resolvable internet address, with the structure The last digit may be an X (a checksum digit meaning 10). 

Your ORCID iD is visible to everyone. It is displayed on your ORCID record below your name. You can choose the visibility setting for all other information on your ORCID record (learn more at visibility settings). 

To ensure accurate connections between your iD and your research activities, share it only when the requesting system provides a sign-in screen. This means you know who is requesting your iD, and can give permission for its use and for updating your ORCID record. Learn more about permissions you can grant.
