Add Education has mandatory start date requirement when you enter end date. Error message says:

"Start date is required if end date is specified"

Suggestion - remove start date requirement.

Reason -- most C.V.s lists education by year degree was granted.  This level of granularity is too fine for this stage of ORCID re-use requirements. Is anyone really asking for start date for degrees, when typically one can see transition listed from undergrad, to graduate to doctoral degree granted years anyways to get a picture of things.

Additionally, for delegated account management, this is a pain to have to follow up with faculty to get those details, delaying record updates, etc.

  Thank you for your feedback regarding affiliation dates within the user interface. You will be pleased to know that removing the rule of requiring a start date if an end date is added is a feature that we are looking to disable in the future.
