ARC RMS system imports ORCID references but renders and matches them to types idiosyncratically. This is will be an ongoing challenge between agencies.
Currently, the best way to deal with this is to import BibTex into ORCID and then enter a custom citation, like Harvard. However, this needs to be done manually, which is error prone and slow, especially given the current interface.
- Allow import of a citation at BibTex import or after.
- Allow storage of multiple citations in various formats.
- Allow the user to choose the default to display and expose to third parties.
- Make the control for what to default to available for bulk editing.
