    I would be very happy about public data dumps soon, in any format, preferably RDF, and more often than once a year. Maybe you can provide baseline sets and incremental updates. Thank you for your effort!

    While we haven't need to share the file via bittorrent yet, we'll keep your suggestion in mind as the file grows.

    Not an odd suggestion at all! ORCID has committed to a full public data dump once per year. The tool we will use to share the data is under review, but the first dump will likely be summer 2013.

    Recently I came across CERN's open data initiative. Having talked to a few guys that have worked there, I'm pretty sure these guys currently gather one of the largest datasets in the world! Have a look at CERN Open Data Portal. http://essayservices.org/
