Any idea whether there is progress on this? What is the expected availability date?

I'm excited to let you know that a beta version of this service is now available. Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory - SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) now allows ORCID users to import works from the ADS database to their ORCID record. Try it out at https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/#index/

Still not straightforward to take a pre-existing ADS library and import it to ORCID. That's the functionality that most people want here. If it is straightforward, my suggestion is that you make a short FAQ or redesign a little so that people can easily see how to do this.

HI Darach, I'm sorry to hear this tool doesn't work as you'd expect. You'll need to send your comments to ADS directly as they are the ones that built and support this tool. Best, -Catalina

Dear Catalina, how could I import my ADS papers (which I have in a library) into ORCID. Thanks a lot! Matilde
