    When can we expect the functionality to edit the entries to become available? It is very time consuming to manage our information without it. I also wonder if it's possible to avoid the pop-up window disappearing (along with all the information on it) when we click just outside it. Thanks. Joana

    Thanks for your suggestion to improve the ORCID Registry.

    This is a good idea, but isn't something that we presently have the capacity to work toward at the moment. We're going to mark it as under review, so that we can consider it as an improvement after our current release cycle for version 2.0 of our API.

    Unfortunately it happens rather often. This is rather annoying when trying to edit publication meta data. Maybe it even drives people away from ORCID when doing it for the first time.

    Please forgive my less-than-gentle all-caps title. But twice now I've entered a bunch of details about a publication or work history, and then idly clicked in the blank space just to the side of the pop-up box, e.g. to clear a selection. In both cases, it threw away the entire nascent entry, with no warning, no questions about whether I really wanted to throw it all away, etc. Surely that is never what people want to do when they click anywhere other than a small, clearly highlighted "CANCEL" button, perhaps even with a big "Are you sure" followup. Both times I found myself yelling out loud at your screen. So I'm just expressing my feedback authentically in the title.

    Dear admin. Why did you add my idea to a closed idea? This simply demonstrates to me that you've been throwing away entry information since mid-2014, and have no plans to fix that. Do you even read comments on closed ideas? Please reconsider.

    The box to fill out that piece of information (like adding an educational institution) shouldn't close out and lose all of your work any time you accidentally click outside the box.
