    Thank you for your comment.

ORCID is used by many systems in the research infrastructure, from research organizations, to organizations which fund research, to organizations which publish research.

Researchers are at the heart of everything that scholarly and research publishers do. Accurate author and reviewer databases are vital in order to understand their activities, track their publications, attribute funding and resource use that has supported their research, perform accurate name-based searches, and find and manage reviewers.

By uniquely and reliably enabling publishers to connect your authors and reviewers with their contributions, ORCID serves as an information hub. It allows authors and reviewers to more efficiently and effectively manage the dissemination of their research findings; maintain their personal profiles; connect funding, datasets, and research resource use to their submission; and get credit for the important work they’re doing.

For more on how research-supporting organizations can use ORCID to benefit researchers and their own systems, see

    Warm regards,
    ORCID Community Team
