ResearcherID currently supports the ability to place a link to the ORCID profile, as well as allow someone to register for an ORCID from ResearcherID.com. As Martin noted, we will be expanding the integration. For now, I would recommend adding the URL to your ResearcherID account as a website in ORCID; it doesn't appear that manually adding external identifiers is supported. Thank you, Ellen

It appears that the system connection is working on the ResearcherID side but not on the ORCID side. After receiving a notice from Thompson-Reuters, I made the connection on the ResearcherID side and approved the connection permission requests. Yet, although my ORCID lists ResearcherID in my permissions list along with Scopus, it doesnt appear with Scopus in the left column on the main administration page of of my profile.

The correct connection would be http//researcherid.com but ORCID offers a failed link http//www.researcherid.com

I want to correct my statement in the update that implies integration with ReseracherID is coming soon. ORCID already integrates with ResearcherID and you can link your ResearcherID profile to your ORCID. What is coming soon is the exchange of data between systems, such as importing citations. I didn't mean to downplay the current integration in my excitement to let everyone know that we are working on integration that allows the exchange of data. Sorry for any confusion, -Catalina

Import of Work seems to work only with Scopus - true? Problem: Scopus, however, lists only 15 Pubs out of > 30. On Researcher ID my list is complete, conclusion: A ResearcherID import would be convenient for me. Thanks!

Just would like to second the many other posts that, to me, being able to synchronize the publications in researcher ID is critical for using ORCID. Manual input/selection of hundreds of publications (again) is just not very practical. And I am sure this is the situation for many other researchers to use a new system or not. The ORCID obviously does have advantages over other systems in several aspects, and I would definitely like to use/advertise it if the publications could be linked to Researcher ID. At this moment, Researcher ID remains the best publication/citation online system to me, but I'm looking forward to the expansion of capability by ORCID. At least for now, a link to Researcher ID should be visible on ORCID, as the Researcher ID has been doing vise versa already. Thanks and waiting for the news ...

Thank you for your suggestion, Gert. I'm pleased to inform you that the March 10th release of ResearcherID will allow for the import of publications to ORCID, as well as the export of publications from ORCID to ResearcherID. Ellen Rotenberg Senior Manager, Product Innovation Thomson Reuters

I wanted to send the updated list of pubblications of my ResearcherID to ORCID, via the option: Exchange data with ORCID -> Send ResearcherID publications to my ORCID account It opens a new tab, with ORCID asking me if I authorize, I authorize the exchange, and when I return to researchID I get the error "Failed to sent record(s)." In fact my publications list on ORCID doesnt get updated. Please help
