Once you have registered, you access your account by signing in.
In the Email or 16-digit ORCID iD field, you can enter any of the following three options:
- An email address associated with your ORCID account
- Your full ORCID iD (i.e. https://orcid.org/0000-0001-2345-6789)
- Just the 16-digit number of the ORCID iD URI (i.e. 0000-0001-2345-6789)
In the Password field, enter your current ORCID password. If you don't remember it, you can reset it at https://orcid.org/reset-password.
If you don’t yet have an ORCID iD, you can quickly and easily register for one on this page.
In addition to signing in using your ORCID account credentials, you can also sign in using a linked institutional account or social media account. Learn more about different ways to sign in to ORCID.
We recommend setting up at least two ways to sign in to your ORCID account to help ensure that you’re not locked out of your ORCID record if you lose access to one of the sign in methods.
For example, you can set two or more active email addresses on your ORCID account which you can use to sign in to ORCID or reset your password, or you can connect your institutional account as your alternate sign in option.
