ORCID has a deprecation process to merge duplicate records created for one individual. This process keeps both ORCID iDs in the registry, and deprecates the duplicate ORCID record so it serves only as a pointer to the main ORCID iD.
Researchers can deprecate accounts if they still know the sign-in details (email address and password) for both accounts. Otherwise they can contact us to request our assistance in merging the duplicates. Please include your ORCID iD's, and any email addresses you may have registered for an account with.
