Person identifiers can only be added by trusted organizations. Person identifiers are other identifiers that systems use to identify you, such as Web of Science ResearcherID or Scopus Author ID.
Some identifiers are added when you connect to systems using the Search and Link wizards from your personal ORCID record:
-
ISNI
- Scopus Author ID
- GND-ID (added when using the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek (DNB) Search & Link wizard)
Other identifiers are added when you connect those identifiers to a system which you have connected your ORCID iD. These identifiers include:
-
Github username (currently in beta when one connects to both ORCID and Github from one's DataCite profile)
-
Japan Researcher Name Resolver ID (via KAKEN and NIMS SAMURAI)
- ResearcherID
-
Various local identifiers, such as an institutional VIVO ID
