When you first register, we send a welcome message to the email address(es) you used to register your ORCID iD from donotreply@verify.orcid.org.
Each message contains a unique verification link. To verify your email address, click the link and, if needed, sign into your ORCID account.
If you have not verified your primary email address after two days, we will send you a reminder message. Other two reminders will be sent 7 and 28 days after account creation.
We issue automated verification messages each time you add an additional email address to your ORCID iD.
Can I request a new verification message?
You can request a verification email at any time by following these steps:
1. Go to your ORCID record page
2. Click on the pencil icon in the Emails section
3. Click on Resend verification email next to the email address
Haven't received the verification message?
You may have not received a verification message due to filtering by your email admin or due to a mistake in your email address. Check your account settings to confirm that your email address is correct, and then check your spam or junk mail folders for messages from DoNotReply@verify.orcid.org with a subject line that starts with [ORCID]. You can also re-send the verification message by going to your ORCID Account settings, Email and contact preferences, and clicking the "Verify Email" link next to your email address.
If you do not receive a verification message, please contact us using one of the email addresses associated with your ORCID account. We’ll investigate the issue and help you verify your address. If your email server is blocking our messages, we'll also get in touch with your service administrator so you can use your ORCID account as normal.
