A maven dependency would be created containing the new version 2 api classes for easier and faster implementation
Now, in order to use the actual api in a java project, there are 2 possible routes.
Or, the classes have to be created based on the xsd (which might introduce error prone code)
Or, the classes are copied from pre-generated sources such as the ORCID-SOURCE github project?
if there was a single concatenated maven dependency that contained these classes to use for the unmarshalling, the actual implementation would be a lot cleaner, would avoid possibilities for accidental breaking because of explicit class-changes and A LOT faster.
Thanks for your suggestion to improve the ORCID API
We’re going to add this to our list of improvements to consider for the future and will update here accordingly.
